Sel Crit Person

The Person selection criteria can be used to narrow down which Unanet Users will be included in the output. By default, <All People> will be included in the output.

If you do not want to include all People, you can use the Person filter options and click on the filter icon (

) to narrow down the list of items in the multi-select box. Once you have narrowed down the list, you can further select and de-select individual items in the multi-select box.

People Reports -- Depending on the current user's role, the people filter for People reports will include:
- Managers -- those users that are currently a submitter to one of their Approval Groups plus those users to which they have access via an Organization Access relationship (plus those users they can see via an alternate relationship).
- Viewers -- those users to which they have access via an Organization Access relationship.
- HR Administrators -- those users to which they have access via an Organization Access relationship.
- Administrators -- all users.
Project Reports -- The people filter for Project reports is not limited.
Resource Reports -- The people filter for Resource reports is limited to those users to which they have access via an Organization Access relationship (plus those users they can see via an alternate relationship).

The options available to refine the items included in the multi-select box include:

You can use the Org. Code and Last Name filter options to refine the entries included.

For example, if you only wanted to include people from Organization ABC, you could supply ABC in the Org. Code filter field. Further, if you only wanted to include People with last names that began with Z from Organization ABC, you would also supply a Z in the Last Name filter field. By supplying filter criteria to the Last Name field only, you can search for all people that match your criteria across Organizations.

This option will result in the multi-select box displaying a list of Organization Codes. All user's that are currently associated with a particular Person Organization will be included in the multi-select box output.

This option controls whether inactive users will be included in the multi-select box if the user filters this field. This option is not available if you select the Show Org Codes in filter only option.

Note: this option only affects the values displayed in the filtered multi-select box. There may be stand alone Active/Inactive check boxes to govern overall report output (in terms of active and inactive user inclusion).

When entering filter criteria, the result set will include entries that match the first X characters entered in the filter criteria. The following characters can be entered as wild cards in the search selection criteria for certain fields:

% -- (percent sign) this character will match any number of characters --- for example: %net would match "Unanet", "Network", and "Basketball Net". By default, the % sign is appended (but not displayed) to all entered filter criteria. Thus entering "Una" alone or entering "Una%", would match: Unanet, UnaTime, Una$ense and UnaSource.
_ -- (underscore) this character will match any one character -- for example: X_Z would match "XYZ" and "XBZ" -- but not "XABZ"
You can also use a combination of these characters for complex matching --- for example: U_an% would match Unanet

Note that you may also specify more than one filter criteria by entering a comma separated list in the filter text box.

For example, to include all items that begin with a and c, format your filter criteria as:

a,c

Note that after making any changes to the filter criteria, you will need to click on the filter icon (

) or enter to re-populate the multi-select box.
