Managing Project Drop Down Lists

Timesheet and Expense Report users can manage which projects they see in their project and task drop down lists on the timesheet and expense reports.  Some projects will automatically appear and be available for charging while other projects will require that the user make them available for charging (via the My Projects screen).

Users can navigate to the My Projects screen via the My Project menu item on the Time or Expense main menus, as well as directly from the timesheet (via the My Projects button).  If you have navigated to the My Projects screen via the timesheet, you will notice a back to timesheet button which both saves your changes and returns you to the timesheet.

Projects Assigned by Resource Assigner

By default, any projects assigned to a user by the Resource Assigner will automatically appear in their project drop down lists.

Self Assign Projects

Many projects in Unanet may not be explicitly assigned to a user by a Resource Assigner.  In cases where a project has been configured as a "Self Assign" project (on the Project Profile >> Access tab), users will need to use the My Projects screen to move an Available project to their Selected project list (thus allowing them to charge against it).

Projects that are not "Self Assign" and have not been explicitly assigned, will be unavailable to a user for charging.
